Another page in our quiet book that is all about imaginative play, is the ice cream parlor.
This is an adorable page, which was created using the free pattern here. The only main change I made to the page was the inclusion of a sprinkles jar, found from the same website here. Instead of decorative candy jars, this sprinkle jar has an open top with a spoon that can be placed inside, giving the illusion of putting sprinkles onto the spoon.
All of the ice cream can tuck into the containers on the left page , and the toppings fit in the purple bowl for storage.
Like many of my other pages, this one is less about skill building and more about entertaining. There is an element of texture on this page with the beads for sprinkles, and stitching on the waffle cones. In addition, the kids can practice putting things in and taking them out of a container.
